1NKY

No other group like it has a home in Kentucky’s Capitol.

The creation of the Northern Kentucky Regional Alliance is now on display. CBC Executive Director Pat Frew received a guided tour recently of 1NKY Frankfort a week after it opened January 22.  The facility is located at 418 Capital Avenue, less than three blocks from the Capitol.  In its previous life it served as a residence. It’s now the home to convey meetings with important local and state elected officials and other community leaders.

On the day Pat visited, January 28, 1NKY Frankfort, was preparing to host the Northern Kentucky Legislative Caucus made up of Representatives and Senators from the region for a light dinner before the group retreated to the Capitol to hear the Governor’s State of the State address.

The building’s top floor features private offices with the main level designed for entertaining.  A stone patio adjacent to the home can be tented and used for larger scale events with additional room in the back of the three quarter acre site.  A conference room with flat screen tv and video access to Capitol proceedings is a nice touch with a first class kitchen available to accommodate catered meals for VIPS.

By establishing such a strong local presence in the center of Kentucky’s political epicenter, Alliance leaders say they are strategically positioning the NKY community with legislators and moving the community forward through the identification and implementation of bold, transformative goals matched to NKY’s regional needs.

Demand by leading local companies is evident. Sponsors who pay to use the facility on a regular basis include St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Corporex, DBL Law, CVG, Fischer Homes, Northern Kentucky University, Tri-ED, Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and Ziegler & Schneider, P.S.C.
