Covington’s significant influx of new businesses, impactful housing and high profile retail establishments is well documented. Much of the focus at City Hall now is turning to how to better plan and coordinate work on streetscapes, wayfinding and other such details as benches and garbage cans that can greatly enhance the built environment and encourage more people to live and work here.
This subject will be explored more deeply at the next CBC Quarterly Education Forum entitled “Design Standards For the Central Business District” scheduled for Friday, August 25th, 8:00 am to 9:30 am at St. Elizabeth Covington, 1500 James Simpson Way.
The discussion will be led by Mayor Joe Meyer with a panel of local community agencies assisting in the planning such Eric Summe, President and CEO, Meet NKY, Renaissance Covington Executive Director Katie Meyer, and Catalytic Development Funding Corporation Executive Director Jeanne Schroer.
